Front End Developer

As a Senior Front End Developer at MullenLowe Profero, you will be responsible for standards, direction, and implementation of user interfaces across browsers and other devices. This includes ensuring that projects are:

  • Understood correctly by reading all available documentation and communicating with team members

  • Estimated correctly based on agreed scope and assumptions

  • Matching to designs

  • Built, and kept, maintainable through:

  • Reduction of duplicate CSS / Javascript code

  • Clean, consistent conventions

  •  

  •   Automated tests, where appropriate

  •   Run smoothly through frequent communication of task progress and complications

  •   Tested thoroughly across browsers devices

  •   Built in a user-centric, rather than technology-centric fashion

  •   Mentor junior front end developers

In addition, you will help us drive our recruitment process, including both testing/interviewing and defining our standards around front end development.

EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS

Senior Front End Developers are expected to work across a range of projects, and will need a strong eye for design and interactions. You will be expected to demonstrate experience as many of the following areas as possible:

  • Cross platform HTML5 and CSS3 development

  • Responsive web design

  • Both “vanilla” and framework-based (AngularJS, React, Redux) Javascript development

  • Distributed source control (git)

  • Dependency management technologies (npm/yarn/bower)

  • Automated build systems (webpack/gulp/grunt)

  • Automated testing (Jasmine)

  • Email Direct Marketing (EDMs; HTML emails)

Experience with Enterprise CMS (Sitecore, Acquia, AEM etc.) and mobile development (native or React Native) would be considered a plus.
